I do my own annuals, if I cannot change the oil & filters myself it would be a poor show... Just keep the receipts to prove the parts were purchased; works for me... I've no intention of selling the beastie in the foreseeable future so why chuck it about. Mind you I'm doing a bit of extra this year!

One thing though is do buy the filter spanner for the oil filter it makes life a heck of alot easier :)

Oh yes, oil change needs multiple pots to catch it!

I do my own brakes as well just for confidence, I know the fluid has been changed and the pads fettled to perfection then... Not doubting any of the indies but I have a fairly low regard for MD's of any marque....

Thanks Parisien, I just love to drive this car and I intend to keep it. Guess what you are saying is that when keeping it makes sense to do the annual yourself more risky if you want to sell it. I do a fair ~10.000 km (6000 miles) per year and this is my 2nd season coming to an end possibly in Oct here in the north.
