Good evening! I like the motivational pictures pinned to the window of how it will all look this time next year! The good thing is that you’ve started it, so you do deserve a drink.
I am having a green hop beer before watching Strictly, I’d love to know who else will be watching it tonight. I bet loads will be, but they will never admit to it.
Whaddyamean 'next year'...next week love! ;)

Some lovely rugby played in that game.
By the All Blacks.
And some woeful refereeing, so surprising when the AB’s are involved. Poor officiating at the highest level is really spoiling the games for me. 6N spoiled by them, Lions tour too (although both teams did their utmost to be as dismal as possible).
Yesterday some utter howlers, had Beaudy any different colour jersey on it would have been a yellow very early on. French men and whistles eh??

Premiership refereeing is far better in my opinion, save that shocker in the Tigers Sarries match a couple of weeks back.

Well that's tomorrow's 'Boxing Day' family gathering blown out. Eldest niece was present on Christmas Day and tested +ve this morning.

I offered to drive up with presents and shout through the window (don't want to risk Mrs C senior catching it) but was, after family confab, declined.

Oh well, day to myself tomorrow as Mrs C will be with Mrs C senior. Niiiiiiiiiice

Hmm. Me again. Does this win the award for the least used, yet most resurrected thread?

Anyway. Crappy day, as expected. Putting 35% of my team 'at risk' of redundancy (including one that's been in India for three weeks as his son's been in hospital for apendicitis)

Glass of wine and the minor salve that I *also* had 40% of my team (impacted and otherwise) either ask to come with me if I left, or generally tell me things were better since I joined the company.

Sleep well, all

Sorry to be reading this Chris.
Makes me appreciate how simple my life is here in France even taking the complications with our house renovations.
No complaints from me.
Take care.

Thanks, bud. It's one of those things. I do get rewarded well for it (and I would have moved to a hotel with all you've been through). Just wish I had wine at your price ;)

Keep warm!

These things are a tough game. First time I had to do it I struggled. But it taught me that change is also renewal. Those that had to move on generally got jobs they preferred and felt more fulfilled.

**** part of any management role especially when your team think you're good. Had to lose 20% of mine at the end of last year and the impact on those that stayed has been tough, they all love their job, love working for me but are worried about the future and little I can do to dispel those fears.
