Possibly a stoopid question, but... what is the best kind of glue to use semi-rigid plastic, such as the grill? I have a couple of snapped lugs which need fixing back on again. I'd generally default to Superglue but welcome any advice from the wisdom of the forum.

Also, what is a good slightly more flexible glue for using on the front air vents which have come upglued from the nose cone?

Thanks,
Adam

not sure which bits you are trying to repair, but i would first ask yourself if the original plastic snapped how long the glue is going to last? personally for plastic under vibration i would use two part araldite resin, comes in a neat doulbe syringe dispenser. Clean the two parts with an agressive solvent and roughen the surfaces and let is set of 24 hours before moving it. best of luck

There are two options with two part glues such as araldyte - fast drying (5 min) and slow (24 hour). The latter is the strongest option but if strength is not required 5 min will suffice.

I am a fan of west systems epoxy which is a marine grade epoxy resin and very strong.

Thanks all. My fast-drying Araldite is stil drying - I had to slather it on thick because the contact areas between the air vent mesh and nose-cone don't offer much surface area. Hopefully my glue blobs will hold fast. Next job is to stick the lugs back on to the grill, which should be less fiddly.

Still drying since when, Adam? If it's more than a couple of hours *max* it sounds like a mix failure :(
