I've owned Diesels before both barge and sporty and they do have a certain charm but as I said nah not in a Maser. It's like wearing socks in the bath.

Each to their own.

Thought I'd share this one with you...

Today I was in my local petrol station waiting to pay when the guy in front of me turned and asked me if that was my Maserati. After I replied "yes" he went on to tell me how he was considering a Ghibli - diesel! He looked horrified when I told him all about the speakers pumping out fake engine noises and then asked me to keep my voice down! Hee hee!

Great to finally see one with the 21" wheels on. Makes the car look better. It looked so weedy on 18" rims when I saw it back in the autumn.

Why does this car file under 'used'? Did somebody really buy it and bring it back after 100 miles of driving? Strikes me as pretty odd.

The diesels are 48K in standard spec, so I don't see why somebody would not use the 15K difference here to spec their own car up.

Agree on the 21's....The one at DL has the 18's or 19's and it really does make the car look a little weak....

Hilarious!

I think people are either going to think it is very cool or are going to be embarrassed about it.

I wonder how many future owners will be unaware of the fact that the 'burbling noise' is actually a speaker? Will it be standard or an optional extra?

I showed my Dad this ghibli diesel and he is a staunch supporter of modern diesel engines and has had them since really the first mass market produced Audi A4 1.9TDi. His reaction was "swanky, not sure about diesel though". That says it all to me :D
