Thanks Dave. What where the service costs like?I owned two 3.0 petrols.
Lovely car to own as a daily.
I had a Celtic tune remap up to 410hp one my last one as with the S.
Needs upgrade to 6 pot brakes if you do that though.
Very nice car to drive, lovely interior if you get the extended leather. Oh and the petrol sounds great for a V6.
I'd have another in the future.
whats the likely cost of the brake upgradeAs Dave says, petrol with the drilled bigger discs then you can tune it. If solids, they can’t handle the extra power and give up and warp easily.
Great cars.
I have a 2018 petrol, I had a 65 diesel prior to that. Both great cars, in fact Froddy & DaveT in this thread sum it up beautifully. I prefer the petrol version purely because the sound & smoothness acceleration. I've also had many german variants that we are all familiar with but would choose the Ghibli again when I change in a year or two. i had my first service at the dealership in Exeter, it came to £750. I only do limited mileage so the next service is March next year, but that's the good thing about the petrol version, Service every two years or 12500 miles. I think the diesel is every year. The rear tyres needed changing at 8500 but I guess thats because I can't help hitting the throttle and hearing the exhaust bark & pop... lovelly!. So, if in doubt, don't be. Finally, my first MOT was this month, I took it to my local greasy rag shop for the MOT. They had never seen a Ghibli close up before. It was fascinating to see the interest the car caused amongst the team of mechanics. All liked the car very much. They had a few 3 series, C classes in there too, but they didn't seem to grab the same attention! Go for it.......Thanks Dave. What where the service costs like?
I’m near hull. It's 12.5k or two years I think so it's pretty much due a service now so no real issue there - a reason to haggle!
So 23k between service 2 and 3 is the main deviation apart from a slightly late 1st service. I wouldn't take it to Halfords personally but a look at the paperwork would show what they have done and it may be OK.
There's quite a few of these come up so I wouldn't rush unless this one has specific spec etc you want.
Whereabouts in the country are you?
That is a nice one and as you say crammed with extras and I love the Sabbia leather. At a really good price too. The reason why I don’t want diesel is I don’t do the mileage these days. Probably no more than 6 to 10k a year.I've had 2 Ghibli diesels and really enjoyed them. 275bhp standard but you can get a remap up to around 310bhp. Plenty of power and comfort. My last one is for sale at GTtwo in Cranleigh (https://www.gttwo.com/used/cars/maserati-ghibli-13/) who I part exchanged it with for a Granturismo. A great car loaded with extras.
