Garage recommendations?

Hi all - just acquired an non running 06 quattroporte with an undiagnosed electrical fault - possibly a broken wire, dodgy connection or CAN BUS fault. Would any forum members have a recommendation for a good independent specialist to sort this kind of thing - preferably a garage known to forum members and versed in the black arts of Maserati electricals? All and any advice most welcome - already tried ECU, BCM & keys all to no avail.

Welcome to the fold, that was brave. Lots of specialists on here, where are you located?

Based Middlesbrough - car in Leicestershire - I aim to have her collected & dropped off for repair somewhere between the two locations so ideally I can drive her home once fixed. Not worth subjecting her to the main dealer "lets try replacing everything approach" at silly hourly rates but would like to use someone who has worked for forum members in the past - with a good rep - and one to whom electricals are not a mystery - I also want to avoid placing the car with someone who will sub contract the electrical work and add his 20% to the final bill.

Autoshield are half way between the two, and are the oldest indies in the country. I don’t think you’ll get anyone to investigate an electrical fault who is more capable than Russ their head technician.

Before I spent any money chasing an electrical fault for hours, I would have it inspected by Autoshield to make sure the subframes are ok, clutch is good and if it needs bushes etc.
