oh and believe it or not but the best place to fill up around me is a Shell MOTORWAY service station in bridgend they average 3pence per lt less than the Supermarkets.

Oddly enough the Shell stations on the A12 seem to be the cheapest round here, other than supermarkets (and somehow I always prefer to use "branded" fuel in the Maser rather than supermarket fuel. I wonder if it's really any different?)

Guys, I work for one of the oil majors.

The days of **** or what the industry termed "bunker" fuel are history. Most refineries produce fuel for all brands with only minor tweaks in certain aspects of the blend.

Lubricants is a whole different ball game though :)

I agree. If I can use a supplier that is better than the other I will (for whatever reason). Currently I use shell as my default. Ferrari association and all that.

I've often thought of a towbar on the maser. god wouldn't that look ridiculous, but funny at the same time.
Always keep a 40lt jerry on me ;) but yeah an tanker following would be better.

i do like Shell but thats only cos they send me a free tank of fuel every couple months.

and cheapest place in western Europe to full up is Lux lol

A friend of mine works in Belgium near Antwerp. He has put a 150 litre tank in his Ducato van because of Lux prices. It is worth his while making special trips the length of Belgium and back to keep his van fed on Luxembourg Derv.
