FRONT SUB FRAME INFO ON QPV (Cross posted on ML)

Can anyone tell me if the front subframe on my QP is solid mounted to the unibody or is it mounted using some type of insulating rubber, etc.?

In addition, is there an obvious way to determine the health of the engine mounts, other than remOval and inspection?

Bolted straight up to the body chassis points.
You might see that the mounts have leaked fluid out of them.

I don't know about a QPV, but on a 4200, there are alloy heat shields covering the mounts. Remove those, and the bottom of the mounts can be inspected. Soft like a balloon = bad, crunchy = bad, firm but flexible = good.
