I think my time is done on here.
I have met many of you and been on some good events.
Shared my experiences of saving a Maserati and helped many people who have messaged me needing advice.
I'm certainly not a big headed no it all and have better things to do.
Phil.
Now then Phil, I don't put much out there nowadays but I/we really mean this....

Even though I've only been on here a short time, it has been extremely helpful - and a bit of fun.

I mean, where else on earth do you get to see glass bricks, for goodness sakes?

Please re-consider, Phil...

Only just seen this Phil. Please don’t go. It has been a pleasure to know you and meeting you at some of the events and it will be a worse place without you my friend.
Agree with that, not only on here either.

It is already a chat room for 40 or so mates. That's why I rarely post. Those 40 mates all appear to want to let me know they know more than me about Maserati, Porsche (on the rare posts where that brand crops up) and indeed they want me to know that they know more than me about absolutely anything.
I appreciate the knowledge and advice from anyone on here. I have been on many other forums that are quite simply boring and full of view and no experience. This is the only forum I have found true value, friends and enjoy reading the experiences of others whatever their walk of life. I ignore the contentious and contribute where I can. If I can make someone smile or laugh with my daft comments then my work here is done.
I hope things calm down and both new and veteran members stay. The new member views and experienced members knowledge is second to none. I appreciate everyone on here equally no matter what your own views and beliefs. We all have Maserati in common and that should be celebrated.

I can also appreciate @conaero is between a rock and a hard place needing to look after the interests of both the forum and the sportsitalia service centre, after all one was born out of the other and by association they need to work as one imo.

Phil I hope you change your mind. I enjoy our banter, seeing what you are up to in neighbouring lands, your toys and meeting at Le Mans.
It will be a great loss and am sorry you feel it time to leave. Hope you change your mind Sir.

It would be a shame if that happened Phil, you have lots of knowledge to offer.

Mind I have just read the thread that got Wattie sacked and quite a few people said things on that thread which were just as divisive as he did. All I’m asking for is consistency in who gets a kicking and, preferably, more tolerance in the first place. Banning Wattie or putting him on the bench (no idea which it is but he is not around) was a mistake IMHO.
I don’t post that often but would have to agree with this. Some seem to get a ban quick smart and yet others appear to suffer no consequences at all.

Being an Aussie doesn't help.

Don't ask me how I know...

Banter is fine, tongue in cheek is fine, opinions are fine. The problem is when it turns into a full blown argument and some people start forgetting their language and become personal. Before you know it, emotions run high and it becomes a bar fight. That’s when the bouncers step in and chuck the offender(s) out to keep it safe for the other patrons. When everything calms down and apologies are made, normal business resumes. If someone keeps on causing trouble, other sanctions are imposed. Seems reasonable to me, never mind whether the offender is a mate or not.

OMG Phil you can't leave I haven't organised meeting up when I'm in your backyard in the summer, other than your skill with a spanner and your love for the R4 I always feel you and AndyK and I are very similar. We seem to have a similar taste in cars, a weird sense of humour and a love of just enjoying what we have been given at the time. I can't imagine not having those early morning comments from France so a seriously hope you change your mind.
