I enquired with FD earlier this year about a set matching the normal GS carbon colour but took a deep breath then decided against.

Really tempted with these color coded ones though now as I intend to keep the car a long time.

Marios had a set on the car before and they looked the business although they were the MCV paddles so blue in colour .

For what they are, the price is ridiculous! I'm sure they're not expecting to sell many, but their markup on development and production costs is outrageous. Carbon finer is not that hard to work with and it's not exactly a revolutionary design.

I reckon there's plenty of cottage industry firms in the UK who'd make a batch for circa £100 each if there were was enough interest. You guys should get a group buy together.

I quite like the look of those, but how on earth did they decide on that price..????
Anybody know if they have a distributor over here..??? If not I might just contact them through my company and see if we can get something like 70% discount, then the price would be good and I would have some..!!!

I would be interested in these if theres a small group buy getting together.. FD normally do a good special around Christmas/ Novemeber, well they did last year, and I saved a lot then. So it might be worth asking now and buy it closer to Christmas,,, after all Santa said I have been a good boy!!

I'm interested to know if thats a stripe or the back of the paddle that is red.. !!

About the price..if it's real carbon, the price is not extreme. The OEM part that was an option for the GS costs, if i'm correct about 700 euros.

The price is eye watering but as Nikos has said if real carbon fibre then its the going rate.....

I gotta agree with JDM, those prices are outrageous. CF cloth is not that expensive and all these manufacturers are riding on the reputation of CF as an "exotic" material. Fabriciation of proper dry prepreg CF components is indeed a specialised process but wet layup parts are no more difficult to fabricate than using fibreglass cloth and two part epoxy resin.

These prices have been brought into line with the perceived status of the cars for which they are intended as a quick search online will find entire CF bonnets for "lesser" cars being sold for similar prices to a pair of paddles.

Just my 2c worth.

have to agree with rotorheadcase Cf is cheap i bought a few mts of CF graphite cloth space grade for a few quid a couple years ago!,
i use it to make repairs to body panels and even made a full air intake system out of it.

on the other hand the paddles look good apart from the "engraved" up and down on the shifts they look a little ....tacky?

I love the fact the check engine light is on in their sample picture...

I know it's probably not started, but still funny!

I can remember, some years back, a friend with a GS bought a set of carbon fibre paddles, he paid 500 euros. Got them from Japan, our friend from Japan can confirm that??
