Well as some of you know, I had a very bad start to 2011 with the death of my old mum... but I also said at the time I would console myself by buying a certain V8 supercharged Reliant Scimitar ...... well thats what Ive done, and I thought you guys might like to see the beasty, because sadly within the Scimitar club theres too many sad sacks that dismiss the car because its super modified. Anyway heres some pics of her, let me know your comments guy's...

Well Enz.... she's a bit of a brute I suppose, but you cant ignore 430(ish) BHP in a car weighing maybe a ton! Ive given many a modern car, including a few exotica a **** good thrashing Lol. The look on some of their faces when they are passed at over 3 figures in a 43 year old car

Cheers Marc, I have to admit that having the underdog (Scimitar) and the beauty (QP)... I feel quite smug Lol

Super clean engine bay, wow that is lovely. I am a fan of the old Buick block; one of the best decissions made by rover to pick up and run with that, you can do so much with them and the parts are readilly available. I bet that blower makes a fabulous noise giving the motor a growl...

If I ever meet it on the road I'll treat it with respect!

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, its both gratifying and sad. Gratifying that people from a different club should praise a car thats not Maserati, and sad that Ive had more positive comments from you guys, than Ive had from the Scimitar owners club!!! Too many of them are just too hung up on keeping this original!!
