Hi everyone
I hope someone may have an idea. The slow down warning came on the other week when the car was just idling in my drive.I looked on the web and saw that this could be a catalytic problem. Took it to my local garage and they plugged their gissmo in and the catalytic code disapeard but the slow down was still on and it said that the water temperature was -40. i was advised to buy a new sensor but would that fault keep the slow down light on

Hope someone can help Archie

Guessing your local garage is not a specialist. I can't see how the -40 reading would throw the slow down light, unless the ECU is running a comparative temperature.

You might want to get someone to pop an endoscope in your lambda port to make sure your cats are not breaking up.
