.....grey wheels.

So had my first case of light curb rash on a rear wheel at the weekend (really annoying as I was in an unusual place doing a good deed for sick relative but these things happen).

It has got me thinking however about a colour change and getting all 4 wheels done as I am not completely happy with the condition of the remaining wheels (no curbing but I suspect the main dealer didn't choose the best refurb company before I got the car).

So what is the thoughts on what colour would you go with on a Blu Oceano car. Pics below. Stick with silver or go grey?

Great if you could post pics of your grey wheeled car if you have a similar colour scheme as my car

Wheel colour always going to be personal taste but I always like the silver with darker colour cars.

Could you not use the Car Configurator on the Maserati website to try ideas out?

Personaly I like the silver.

Mine are Grigio Mercury which for me, work very well with the darker cars. It was a £470 option when new, I assume just for the different colour as the Neptune style wheel I believe was standard on the MCS

On your blue I'd go silver as well. Not too bright though. They look pretty good as they are though I guess you could go a shade or two darker8 (sorry... I know from experience that when you're handing over cash you want something other than the same old thing in return!).

On which note... I have the same question for a Grigio Alfeiri (mid-silver / grey) GTS. I'm on Mercury at the mo and they look ok bur actually look better when they're coated with brake dust and a bit darker. I'm tempted by gun-metal satin. Thoughts?

(this crowd-designing / ask the audience concept is pretty good  )

Actually I think you both have the best combinations already - Silver with Blu Oceano and Mercury with Grigio Alfeiri.
....but then I'm colour blind so probably not the best person to ask!

You know me too well! But I think silver is probably still the right answer look at Google... although LincsOSCA car looks rather tasty....

Just noticed ... yours has chrome door handles and round the windows,....

This may be a case of "Just so long as collar and cuffs match...."

Now that makes a lot of sense. No way do I want to set off a chain of expensive events, so silver they will stay!

I definitely don't think black would suit the GT, unless the car was white maybe, but I personally wouldn't have a white GT, (no offence to the lovely white GT's out there).

None taken:smile:!! I'd go with the grey wheels.
