FD DBW Instructions

Hello All,

I've never got the time to install the DBW I've purchased but it's about the time as I plan to go to track in October especially after having the exhaust system modified.

I have the DBW Write up pdf already. It still mentions to "take my time and use FD instructions". Can anyone email me the instructions contacting from my private message please?

Thank you,
Tufan

Hi there - I too have the DBW unit sat at home in a box - and plan to install at some point in the next couple of weeks - depending on how keen I am to spend a day upside down in the footwell!

I have the instructions but they are at home - and Im not - but will be early next week so if nobody helps out in the meantime I can do so then,

Cheers

Is this for the gearbox and the throttle? Saw these on the Larini website, and wondered if anyone had played with them.

Hi Tufan, I looked in my files but I didn't get the instructions back from the Indi who installed mine a couple of years ago.
You are going to love the improvement. Which reminds I must switch mine back to race mode for some more fun.

Don't forget on the track you won't really see any benefit with the FD DBW.
When you change gear under full throttle and above 7,000 rpm the gear shift is at its fastest (as stated in the owners manual).
What the FD DBW does is trick the gearbox to assume you are under full throttle and above 7,000 rpm when you may not be.
Therefore if you are driving her flat out anyway, the FD DBW does nothing!

Hello all. No ownership of instructions yet. So your support will be great Robin.

Didn't know that after 7000 rpm, DBW won't make things faster. Interesting info.
