Yep who cares if he has a strange dress sense or who is sucking his cock, he's a talented driver at the end of the day and that is what matters.

Well if it takes a few people to hate me, I get to drive F1 cars all around the world, Win and be World Champion, earn absolutelty loads of cash, have amazing looking women chasing me and be able to wear exactly what I like.....BRING IT ON AND HATE ME...!!!:boss:

Well said...To be honest I follow Lewis on a number of sites and to be honest I have changed my mind about him over the last few years...He is a very grounded young man and I have a lot of respect for him. He appreciated what he has and how he got there. I hope you becomes one of the best drivers that this country has ever produced. He deserves it.

LH is not my favourite, but yes he is an outstanding talent behind the wheel (even when it was not the best car on the grid)
A bigger issue for me is F1 itself.
I have been a follower since child hood (some 50 years now) and have seen different teams dominate in that time, Ferrari, Mclaren, Williams etc.
But last year and this was / is really bad.
Seriously considering stopping watching. What is the Formula E like from a viewers perspective?

I recorded the Formula E race from Miami this weekend and watched it today. At first it seems strange, the cars are all but silent and not particularly fast either. But the racing is actually pretty good. They can follow each other very closely with no loss of downforce which helps. There are lots of talented drivers and the racing is unpredictable which keeps it interesting.

I have been an F1 fan for a long time too but in recent years have found the most entertaining racing elsewhere - Aussie V8 Supercars excite me more.

Yes I have relatives in Australia that go to the V8 show and they report good things,
I cannot get it on my Freeview, may have to upgrade

I've been watching the Formula E as well. It's an interesting concept, with some in-race strategies that make it an engaging watch, but the 'circuits' are shocking. I understand the idea of road circuits, but they're all too narrow and have no personality. Nevertheless I hope they keep at it, as it will only get better, and they're all developed out of headquarters at Donington, so I have a local interest.

^^^^^^ X 2 !!

F1 is absolute cr*p now and has been for a few years but it seems to be getting rose rather than better. Thank goodness I didn't waste two hours of my life that i can never get back, Australian V8 Supercars on the other hand rarely fail to deliver...

I don't really get this... Is he petulant? He doesn't seem to come across as such - he may not be everyone's favourite personality, but find someone who is! Are you? Am I? I doubt it... And he can hardly be said to be wasting his talent, given he's the current World Champion and has set out on the right path again this season. Granted, LH went off the rails a little after his first world championship and probably lost some focus through being 'seen' in the right clubs and right company etc..., but not today. So why the hate!?

As for Nicole, I'd crawl over broken glass to be in her presence, frankly :)

I didn't mean he was wasting his talent I meant such talent is wasted on someone who can be charmless and petulant. Take last years reaction to Rosburg.....threw his toys out big time, very childish. His sometimes monosyllabic response to interview questions......granted he has sublime skill but winning without magnanimity like that bl00dy tennis player just leaves a bad taste...Graham Hill or James Hunt he aint...... IMO of course

Do you get Motors TV on Freeview? I think they went free to air last year sometime. If you do then they carry some live V8 races and the rest as extended highlights. Failing that all the races are on live on BT Sport, along with the Moto Gp, WRC and Indycar.

I've been fortunate to have met Lewis and his father Anthony a number of times and they are two of the nicest people I've ever met. As for Lewis' current fashion sense, not to my liking and I do hate the way he keeps playing with his hair, however, I'm sure if we all looked back at our own fashions when we were his age, we might not be so quick to criticise. Perhaps we could all share an old photo??

I've watched Formula E since it's first race. Initially I thought they sounded like a bunch of remote controlled cars being raced around a track but I'm now a big fan. F1 needs to rethink their monetary payments to the teams and distribute it more evenly so that the smaller teams that don't have the same financial backing, can become more competitive and remain in the sport. The worst scenario for me would be having fewer teams running 3 cars apiece.

It's nice to see that the Aussie V8's have become popular here in the UK. Bathurst has always been Mecca to Aussie petrolheads (like myself) and the V8 series is always exciting. You just never know who is going to win or who will take out whom. I've been banned from watching any motorsports with my eldest son because I yell at the screen (apparently). hehe.

Blondie is spot on, when I think back over the years about the fashion statements I have made, well that was then and I can shudder now, but I bet we have all done it and at the time I just said "Who Cares, I like it"..!! Just like LH..!!
Dave, are you sure you should have said HOOKER..??

OUr Blondie, hit the nail on the head....As I said earlier look back at yourselves when you were in tour 20's....Would imagine there are a few embarrassing photo's.......As fan of F1 not matter what happens and yes there are boring faces and stuff like BTCC is more exciting to watch but I will always watch and still look forward to race day.......
