The woman on GMB this morning said all women's magazines should be banned as well...The model had a lot to say about that.....Times are a changing and quickly.

When men were men 

+1. Plus, more to the point, women were women. They are too - not a Adam's Apple in sight. I've given up trying to understand what all the variations/options are.

There are 2 options, Male and Female, I'm pretty certain many women would be pretty ****** off finding a man with a fanny using their toilets no matter how much money the NHS has spent on him/her.

Some of us are old enough to remember the ban on F1 advertising; firstly Durex (Is that name permitted on a nice forum like this?), then tobacco products ( https://sports.vice.com/en_uk/article/nzavy7/how-formula-1-quit-smoking-and-ruined-its-health ), now grid girls. It's nothing new, just rather sad as it was all part of the spectacle that was motorsport.

No one should be exploited, but the PC brigade (who no doubt have their soot-chuckers cleaned by underpaid workers) need to take a long hard look at themselves and stop being so bl00dy self-righteous; if young ladies want to earn a living as grid girls that’s their prerogative.

Oh for the good old days.

It's all going too far.
What ever happened to freedom of choice?
I have friends who are grid girls and they love it, who are these people that dictate to them/us what we can or can't do!?

On radio 2 tuesday I think they had a girl that's worked for sky sports for 7 years on the darts circuit and a feminist who was offended by her doing it ,a yoga teacher who thinks everybody should be middle class, people make their own life choices which is exactly how it should be.

Correctamundo, a sad state of affair's, I pity the people that are going to lose out because of it. Just sad individuals who are trying (and succeeding) to dictate what is good for everyone else. I will let you into a secret..if i don't like it i won't participate/watch/promote it, but I would not try and influence anyone that did, i have a mind of my own. I blame Mary Whitehouse btw, just as I blame Ms Rantzen for a generation of little *****.... And what's with the gender neutral ****? If your child has a Wanger its a male ffs.......World's gone mad,....And darts will never be the same....:crying:

Good discussion as ever and Benny on Top Form.
My first encounter of women protesting Women's Lib was as a Boy with a Whanger when they decided to burn their bras and the result was pure heaven to see their chests unleashed and to suddenly realize what a Scania But was.
I for one want to go back to what I remember as the good old day's.

I agree with this and people having a choice. If it is banned there is no choice. As soon as we take away choice we take away all the things that made F1 special. We have taken most of these away already so there isn't much left is there? All we are doing is creating robots and a boring generic society.

I'm old school. Not racist or discrimiative at all. However I loved F1 for what it was 10-30 years ago. Not any more....it is boring. All this gender confusion is mental and IMHO it has become too acceptable. Men are men and women are women. Society created this gender confusion by accepting more and more niche genders. I can't understand not being male or female but accept the new world has some adaptions and additions to this. All these niche genders are too much for me.

If the girls want to work in F1 as pit lane/ grid girl as eye candy then let them. They should have a choice if they want to or not. As soon as this choice is taken away there is no option of choice.

F1 used to be dangerous, exciting, the pinnacle of engineering. Also all the ancilieries that went with it were extreme & out there. How are you going to attract a new audience or increase the audience when you take something that is already boring and make it more boring. You haven't got to be a rocket scientist to work which way that is going to go. I'm a petrol head, love everything automotive and don't really watch F1 because it is boring. If I don't watch it how are you going to get non-petrolheads interested. Grid girls are not going to make much difference either way.

To be honest it had reached the point for me where I didn't really notice the GGs unless they had the camera directed at them (oh, and at the end of the race with what Sniff Petrol affectionately called "The Corridor of Clunge").

Now that F1 is so unbearably dull this is really the least of their worries. A trapeze act with acrobats jumping through flaming rings wouldn't really take the mind off of DRS assisted overtakes and driving within the limit to avoid thermally degrading their tyres. If there was more Villeneuve and Arnoux at Dijon then they wouldn't have to worry about broadening their appeal by removing grid girls.

You will always find ones that think they are special but like everywhere I have been in my life you can find natural and truly beautiful ladies and even looking like me believe it or not.
Could be difficult for Dem though ;)

What annoys me about it is the nhs will be spending a fortune on gender realignment so somebody with terminal cancer can't have a drug that could give them another year with their kids because there's no money ,
like women who are depressed because their tits aren't big enough ok here's a £10,000 operation

If the nhs had to make a profit I'm sure it'd be run better

on so called gender neutral toilets (we all have them at home) a sign that simply says "Toilet" should suffice.

Exactly, if English was good enough for Jesus, it should be good enough for everyone!
