So week 3 got the GT use it every day a few things have come up... I took delivery from HR owen on this car the suspension was making loud whirly noises when pulling out of my drive, trident badges were broken, glue splattered on the rear wheel arch where they have tried to glue it back and failed, plastic fittings were coming off, the passenger front seat won't slide forward when I lean it forward for access and the trident on my gear stick was loose. Explain issues pretty much day 2.

Gave the car in last week. Received it back today. Happy with the clean, Tridents fixed on the bodywork, no trident replacement for gear stick ( understandable and offered to call me in a few days when in stock) as not in stock, they said the shocks were leaking (2012 plate with 8k miles) so replaced and the seat fixed. Trusting them I should have checked it out. The car now feels like something is loose ie the front passenger side suspension majorly bottoming out with a noticeable clang, the front seat access does not work, passenger side window is no longer automatic and the review mirror autodim does not work. So a little dissappointed...

Question is what do I do next? Do I go to a different garage .. Warranty still valid for a year? Do I go back to the same place and risk disappointment again I don't want them to spoil the excitement of a new car for me. What do you all think?

Safrane, thanks feeling your support! Just was wondering if there is a really good garage somewhere in London that will get this car sorted and humming? Maybe someone has had a garage step up and deliver?! Let me know please

Take it back...and state fix it ir I reject it.

+1 . Put it in writing that if it's not fixed you will reject the vehicle as it's not of satisfactory quality. Had the same issue with my R8. Audi took over a month to fix it due to various excuses and ended up giving me one months hp payment back for the trouble..

Agreed -don't get anybody else to touch it. That will be the excuse they need to wriggle out of their responsibility.

As a main dealer a conversation with Maserati UK could be useful. Just to warn them there may be a problem.

Your best bet it to take it back to them unfortunately. Another dealer will have less of an incentive to fix stuff not definitely warrantied and investigation work might not be covered.

Surprised you have so many problems with such a young car as these cars seem pretty solid (touch wood!)

Obviously the suspension needs sorting and as others have said the supplying dealer should deal with it.

With regard to the front seats, they lose their memory/ability to slide back if you leave them for long folded forward so best not to do it - there is a reset procedure in the handbook for when you do. On mine the passenger window has one touch down but not up and I would never know about the autodim central mirror at this time of year - must check come winter.

Badges can get stolen if the cars are parked on the street which is a pain but a price of ownership.

Ordinarily I would say that the sat nav is behind the market but compared with the rubbish they fit in the R8, it is brilliant.

These are the situations that can make and break a person's - and to some degree by extension a forum's - view of a dealership.

Granted, it doesn't sound great! But, from your general standpoint you need to give them an opportunity to rectify the problem - for free - rather than take it elsewhere and pay, as anyone else having a play at trying to fix things will make the dealer back away from their responsibility. If you don't get satisfaction from the situation, escalate it within the dealership and if that fails, raise it with Maserati UK.

I imagine you most likely want this fixed in the quickest and least painful way, and for now that is likely to be by way of escalation within the dealership.

For note, I recently purchased from HR Owen in Solihull and they were very straightforward to deal with - but appreciate different people may well have different experiences, not least as it can depend on who you deal with at the dealership.

I took delivery from HR owen

I'm very surprised. HR Owen are generally on the ball. The few dealings I've had with them have been exemplary.

I would stick with them for the moment, just make your dissatisfaction clear in a calm, and well-documented, manner.

they weas not on the ball when mine went in for a service.....same day, I was in a car park and found a pool of coolant on the floor.....they took it back and told me it wasn't their fault as the radiator burst.....I don't believe that, I burst as they never took the rad off when changing the cambelt.....so it is their fault........got new rad and hoses for cheap out of them

Well I called and apologised for writing (as I agree the sales guys were really amazing) and even the person on the phone at the service centre was pretty good. Problem was it's not fixed which they understood. I sent the email anyway seems no bad blood understood I have to cover my back and they offered to take it again at my convenience which is this weekend. So far so good lets see what happens I will give you an update hopefully next week. Trident tested I agree with being measured and the least problematic route being the devil I know so happy to give them a chance. Just soo painful having to hand the car over twice only in week 3 ouch!!

Oh boy am in trouble ... So driving home from work just now take a bend a little fast.... Almighty clank from the front left suspension ... Stop at a garage have a look can't see anything. Drive off and the suspension noises are gone! I am thinking maybe the spring was still settling and I have made such a fuss with emails and they are picking it up tomorrow ... :battered: oops!!!!! I will be so embarrassed!

Best thing to do is to hide ... Two sales people and the service centre called to apologise and now the suspension is fine which was my main issue ... I might have to kiss some a... Tomorrow ...

Why should you feel bad as the recipient of a shite service that should have resolved these issues before the car was ever sold...if I want **** repairs I will go to quickfit...otherwise I entrust my car to a professional and expect a profesional a expert service in return.

Get them to check it out properly as the springs could have damaged somthing which if not noted now you will have to pay for later.
