Anyone who won all group games was going to be a challenge and England had to be at their best to get the result. he young lions held their own for the first half but sadly that didn't continue for the full 90 mins. Well done Italy they held on, literally, to the end and took the edge in the penalty shoot out.

For England to go 1 up in first few minutes, good for the English. But to then park the bus for the rest of the game they deserved what they got. I'm not English ( or Italian) but I do love football. England were so, so boring after they scored and just sat back. The game came alive when Italy scored and fair enough the last 10 mins of added time England livened up, but in my opinion they lost the game not through penalties but by being so negative and defensive after going the goal up.

What sickens me is the racist abuse Rashford, Saka and Sancho are suffering right now on social media, it's absolutely disgusting. Since Brexit and rampant Toryism this country is turning into a cesspit of racism, bigotry and intolerance.
Reverting to type!

Oh, you mean his dislike of the State of Israel or the well known fact that in spite of embracing LGBQ, diversity, ageism etc he does in fact hate all Jews?
