After driving through a lot of rain this morning and parked up!

The GTS horn is being triggered by wheel lock and light touches on horn edge?

No idea what’s going on? Can I disable the horn with a fuse or would a battery disconnect help?

You may need a clock spring which ain’t cheap but sounds like you are doing the right things first

I will remove airbag module but I have no way to get the wheel off to check the clock spring! Is there a way to eyeball it by turning full lock?

Can I disconnect horn fuse?

Battery dc appears to have solved the issue. Will take out for drive and feedback to you. Thanks

Hum, I fear it will be back. The contacts in the horn button don’t fix themselves from a battery reset.

Maybe wiggling it has widened the narrow contacts

If it does come back, here’s safe way to remove the steering wheel and inspect the clock spring.

You can may be try removing any moisture or dirt with some electrical contact cleaner spray.

Only maserati cars have such problems
Not just Maserati. I had similar symptoms with my Hurricane a few years ago. When I turned left, it sounded which was an unpleasant surprise. The cure was more straightforward. A wire was wrapping itself round the steering column - just needed re-routing. Good luck with yours.

Long drive and car wash with no issues! Got a 200 mile cars and coffee road trip tomorrow so hopefully all gd!!

Once I get home ill probably remove the airbag module.

Am I correct in saying a broken clock spring would disable any steering wheel input?

They usually would act like your horn, work sometimes and sometimes not
