I've had about 8 months of trouble free enjoyment, but nothing lasts forever!
Has anyone ever had to replace the ELECTROFAN (Part No. 980010980)?
Mine has decided not to work.
I've checked every fuse, done all types of resets, and I even looked under the hood where the pollen filter sits, as well as getting to the top of the electro fan (that spins freely). All the vents seem are cycling (IE: going from defrost, to feet, and to all others).
I even switched the ECU for the HVAC (3 knob unit) since I replaced mine for an unrelated issue a year or so back(no change).
I have on occasion seen the "E" where the ambient temperature reads. Based on some previous posts that I've seen here mentioned this scenario, so I ordered the new ambient temperature sensor. Even if that doesn't clear it up, at least that'll be one less minor issue. Either way, once the sensor arrives, I'll replace it and keep the forum posted.
I have my doubts that a failing sensor can make the fan not work, but it's a cheap fix!
If the sensor doesn't work, I can only assume it's the fan itself right?
I'd love to hear of any other "fixes" if anyone has any.
Cheers!
