Edd is a good bloke and good to see he has decided to quit, there has been less and less spannering over the years.

Agree Ant has built some stunning cars but I have heard more than the odd rumour that they are not always as good as they look. I believe there was at least one of his televised cars that was involved in a legal dispute.

Dallas Car Sharks is worse than Lizard Lick.

What could be worse than a load of muscle bound Red-Necked hicks with stupid Flat-Tops pretending to plot repo's and falling out/fighting each other.......The only thing missing is the retarded Banjo playing boy on the bridge from Deliverance !!!!.......Well thank F**k I have never seen DCS then!!.........Are we straying from the thread???!!!

I always thought it was Edds mate Dave who did all the work with Edd just coming on to say how and what...his hands certainly don't look like the usually mechanics ones and I've seen NZ Phils ones....errr that last bit sounds a little perverted so asume comments will soon role in!

I do agree that it went wrong when the workshop went stateside.

So what's your favourite episodes then, for me:

Citroen DS
Maserati 3200
Lotus Elise
Renault Alpine
Lancia Delta
Dodge Charger

The Alpine 310 (free-ten in Mike's perfect diction) was fantastic and I wish I had bought it from them. I still have it on my Sky box and would love to have one in the future

The Amphicar episode was interesting & funny when they got stranded in the lake. I liked the Porsche 911 (993) episode and of course the 3200

Nice to know you guys appreciate the mechanics.
Edd was the Best bit.
Mike was okay in the early days but he is a salesman through and through.
What's happened to him he must be the secret donut eater for sure.
Been watching Edd's live broadcasts and I reckon the future looks good.
He is on the hunt for a UK workshop and has projects lined up.
I should have got my partner filming me when I did the Daimler XJC cylinder head gasket and overhaul on the driveway in the sunshine bare back and no gloves as I know you all like a little filth.

Edd for me was the best bit of the show by far and the spanners part of the show was what I watched it for.

Talented & knowledgeable techs, mechanics & engineers are not in their masses. Any or most numpties can do what Mike does.

I think Ant is OK but a little too commercial maybe. Time will tell. Just by Edd deciding to pull away & Ant jumping in says a fair bit.

I never saw the need to hide works or costs. Just be honest with the works & costs. Also factor in a labour time & cost. Helps the masses see how much cash, graft & time a project takes. It is no good for us or the market to leave people thinking it is cheap or easy to do. Also that there is a ton of cash to be made easily & quickly. That is certainly often a little far from the truth.

Indeed hats off to him.

I am sure uk terrestrial tv will be clambering over themselves to sign him up for his own show.

Replace Rory on TG?...probably not hands on enough.

I had a lot if respect for Edd before that & even more after. Good man Edd. It is not common enough these days for people to make decisions like this for the right reasons, not the wrong reasons such as money or selfish self indulgence.

Edd has provided me with increased knowledge and many simple little or time saver tricks. All I intend to fully utilise. He should be very proud of what he has achieved on the show.

I'm sure he will be back soon in a show that we will all enjoy again.

I used to enjoy the Ed explanations for his fixes and him showing how he was doing the fix - this was really interesting. That's really the only reason i used to watch. I'm not so keen on watching the "Owd ur annd owt" Brewer, i find him really annoying.
