hi guys did some quick searches but nothing resembles, apologies if i have missed it

Whilst driving, the passenger door dash warning light came on and remained on. Door was securly latched

Same thing happened several days ago and a battery reset cleared the problem but re appeared today.

When stopped, opened & closed door several times, tried to lock the car with remote & key. No go as it thinks the door is not properly closed. Car starts fine just unable to lock it

Indications are there is a loose or faulty connection but havent yet delved into it

Any ideas as to where to start & which components maybe offending?

Txs

just noticed, when trying to close the window, goes all the way to the top then drops 1/4 " ie window remains dipped

I wonder whether the micro-swift is either stuck or broken. There are a few micro-switches inside the door skin, but I think the one in question is within the lock mechanism. Might be worth popping the door card off and taking a look?

If you get stuck try giving Ryan a call down at Marenello Motorsport he was a auto electrican before he got into race car preparation I am sure he will be able to identify the faulty component for you in a few minutes, after that it should be a a simple swap out job... which you might feel happy to do yourself.

if your lucky its just something come lose in the door and you need to refresh the contact etc..

Interesting this one

Travelling over the limit on the backblock roads trying to keep ahead of the F550, had the aircon going a decent pace on recycle but forgot to leave a gap open in the window - think the cabin pressure built up & popped the window - maybe related

Have met Ryan, did he fit your FD or did u do it?

Ryan did mine, Eric's, Richards, Craig's and is doing Jackson's. I had better speak to you about leaving a gap in the window as there is nothing in the owners manual that I saw about that.

Can't imagine the pressure could get that high. It's not sealed enough. Your ears would be bleeding and you have the bends when you got out of the car. :D

Hi Miles,

In this instance I tend to agree with you but I can tell you that windscreens have been known to blow out during extreme hot days when older cars are left out in the sun all day with all the windows up tight.... So its not impossible.

Living in Australia is a different life experience... and all the better for it... :) I have just got back from the great ocean Road, what a drive,,,,

Thanks Ozzie, it's minus 5 here! .........At least the windows won't explode, but they'll probably get frozen to the rubber seals. :( hey ho

Miles, think of it this way

With all that exhaust pipe work emitting cabin heat, you dont need a heater to be as efficent.
On the other hand, that coupled with the warm external temperatures heating up the cabin thru the expansive glass areas shows how inadequate the aircon. system is for our region.

I have to say though Adam, as glorious as the MCV is, I'm missing the heated seats in the 4200 just at the moment. Brrrrrrrrrr.
