Door lock issue... HELP!

Unfortunately I think I've got the beginnings of door lock issues on my GS. Upon purchase, the previous owner advised me to check the passenger exterior door handle was actually locked after locking via the remote key fob (sometimes it wouldn't lock, whereas the driver side would lock)... putting this down to lack of usage vs. the driver side door handle.

Today, when attempting to unlock the car via the remote key fob the drivers side unlocks then immediately locked... same result with the physical key. The passenger side handle did unlock successfully and stayed unlocked via the physical key, which then allowed me to open the drivers side handle.

Reading the above, would it be logical and likely that the offending component here is the passenger side door lock (i.e. this: https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/part/193476/maserati/67294900/lh-door-lock.html)?

Not checking the part number because, basically, I'm ******, but yes. If the key in the passenger door makes all the doors lock, the passenger door is the issue.

All seems to be OK with the locks today... I'll see how long I last without issues before adding this to the list of things to do...

I have still got to get my lock assemblies swapped out but a strange one this morning; 30 seconds after locking the car and therefore setting the alarm, it made a set of rapid chirps about six to eight. Then repeated them when I unlocked it again. It also repeated the same a second time.
I’ve never come across this issue previously; anyone got any idea as to the cause please?

We see it a lot, low battery and thus the alarm battery that scavenges from it low too.

Might be worth WD40 all the locks and work them with the key.

I was about to say the same thing. Had exactly the same symptoms a while ago. A new battery fixed it along with some other gremlins. Fully charging the old battery meant the car would start fine but the electrical problems would persist, which made diagnosis difficult.
