Variators done yes. Last service 8mo thé ago at Ferrari Maserati main dealer In Edinburgh and clutch wasn’t changed as it’s only sub 30k miles at this stage - 45% left as per last service read.No I mean when was it last serviced? When was the clutch done? Have the Variators been done?
Especially as some humble pie will surely be eaten shortly
You with your condescending. "Which bit of this don't you understand?" type drivel. Very helpful thanks . Still can't see it in the AT advert listing.Who's ****** on your chips it's in the first line of the thread !
where does it state in the Ad on AT that the Variators have been done? Still waiting....
3rd line of text...Can’t understand why it’s not in the write up on AT as it must be the first question from those who are aware...
...but with no idea of relative incidence of failure we have no idea what that means. Don’t really know Porsche’s but is that the oil seal that is known to fail on 996 and early 997? If so what is the percentage of cars that have failed? However on relevant engine number GranTurismos what is the percentage failure? If 100-200 cars have been done then it’s still a very small percentage.Maybe so, but I bet every 996 that has had its IMS bearing etc done mention it in the add.
Remarkedly not I suspect. This forum fixates on variators with no analysis of how prevalent the problem is. Sure we have examples on here but people tend to gravitate to motoring forums when they have car troubles and what is the percentage affected of the c1200 GranTurismos sold in the UK 2007 through 2010? Small I would guess.
I bought my mc shift 71k Miles, private sale, no ppi

It has been done under warranty. I know the car well as I have sold it twice before, hence the photos being mine (I have asked him to use his own!!). It’s spot on, no issues whatsoever when I sold it last year:

Can’t believe it hasn’t sold, great value for money and the interior is gorgeous in the flesh.
John, (the seller) is also a top bloke.
