Yes read the DMS group buy thread I resurrected yesterday. To cut a long story short Dan had his GTS remapped with DMS, his stock car made 470bhp on their rolling road and after the remap made 505bhp. On the way home from the remap he had a race (on a private road) with a stock GTS and there was nothing at all in it. Just goes to show that on a car weighing nearly 2 tonnes that extra power makes little difference in the real world.

Couldn't agree more. The 10hp gains and similar you see in after market products might make a noticeable difference on a 80bhp Nissan Micra, but on a 400bhp Masser it has virtually no effect in the real world.

Am i reading the numbers right?
It seems to be a 30BHP + increase and they say it makes it sound much better. Is at least the sound bit true?

Yep I was in the stock GTS comparison car. Zero difference, save your money.

However, you didn't compare cars before the DMS tune so you can't be sure yours wasn't out performing Dans when both were standard. From the 4200s involved in the group buy, there was a big spread of power outputs from similar cars. In fact, according to the figures after his tune, the first guy to get it done had .5bhp less than mine before mine was tuned.

Exactly, there are two different types of GTS setups, direct injection and indirect, one has a higher output than the other, you need to test two before and after to be sure as Benny says.

My 2002 4200 cambio corsa had 425 bhp at 97,000 miles and I left with 458.8 bhp.
Having a spirited drive with Matt in his GTS coming back from south Wales he couldn't lose me until i joined the M5.
For me I felt it worked well on the 4200 and in my ownership was my biggest bill.

As stated above, my advice would be don't bother

And it won't make any difference to the sound.

Save money by buying an H pipe, X pipe or any other letter of pipe available
