Discontinued 4300 parts?

Hi all, me again :)

Have sorted the leather colour match and various other bits, phils old 4200 looking really quite nice now, I'll try and post up some pics soon when I'm back off holiday.

Have another question unfortunately , my mechanic is sorting a few bits on this and has found a couple of leaking pipes (can't remember off top of my head which ones but I've got the part numbers somewhere, they're nothing dangerous apparently) - anyway I tried to order from eurospares as he's looking to change them out Saturday when working on front suspension and they're saying the supplier doesn't do them any more as maserati discontinued making a lot of parts??

Am a bit worried as it's now entered my mind that once this pipe finishes corroding completely the car will be knackered as I can't get the part, and god knows what else I can't get as and when it crops up?

Are there any other supplier sources than eurospares who might be able to get bits like this atall or is there a chance this pipe fits something else??
Sorry for poor grammar am on iPhone and struggling for 3G signal on Isle of Wight.
Thanks
Si

Find out what pipe it is. Pipes are just pipes are are comparatively easy to get made by anyone else.

I'm guessing that 4300 means 4200...Newton may be your saviour, I know he was putting together a pipe set at one point, but may be able to point you in the right direction if not give you full details. You'd need to know exactly which pipes.

Simon its air pipes I'm guessing that run along the front of the engine going to the top of the exhaust manifolds.
Get in touch with Greg @ Premier Performance car parts in Ireland mate.

Hi guys

It's either 192192 or 193191 - pipe from hyperdrive to exchanger I think it said? I know it's to do with the steering, the other pipe he wanted from this schematic eurospares can still get?

Thanks

Don't forget regarding new parts Eurospares buy from a European Maserati main dealer from what I understand, to then offer a mail order service.
If you have a local Maserati main dealer they should be able to offer a quicker delivery, and if you ask, match Eurospares prices.

Hyperdrive? Your car is upgraded somewhat :)

Given that's just PAS pipe, I can't see that it can't be re-created.

Hi
I'll try these couple of firms then, am guessing I have to get said pipe removed and take the car off the road for a few weeks while I send off the rusty old pipe so they can try and reproduce the same thing?
It's a real bummer I can't just buy one off the shelf as the mechanic is taking a lot of the car apart this weekend and it would of made sense to do this at the same time :(
Does anyone know anywhere half way local to Surrey / Sussex/South London etc that does this type of work?
Oh, and I meant hydro drive, **** iphone :)
Thanks
Si

As per the post above, try any Pirtek service centre. They might be able to do it while you wait...

David Askew for sure. He's helped me in the past, very very nice guy who cannot do enough!

I've dropped David askew a mail this morning then, fingers crossed he's got an idea or two or I'll fall back on the firm mentioned and wait till winter when she gets put to bed and strip the pipe out then and send it off, she'll be off the road for a few months then anyway so less drama I guess - she's my daily driver right now so losing her for a few weeks at a time would be a pain..
Thanks

Im not getting much joy so far, tried a few places but not going so well :(

Can't really see that rigid of flexible will make that much of a difference as long as the thing cant take pressure.....

They will generally make the main run from flexible but if the ends need a solid 90 degree bend they will be able to provide one. Plus you can have stainless steel braiding. As Chris said, if it takes the pressure it will be fine. Good luck!

I just thought I should update this in case anyone did a search on similar topic in the future.

Thanks for all the advice, I ended up going to pirtek in crawley (As suggested on here) and they replaced the flexible pipe and crimps on my steering rack pipe while i waited - £50 all in with the vat and took about 15 minutes, so was a massive result. (Had eurospares had the pipe would have been £100+ obviously, so worked out very well in the end)

Talking to the guy there they do lots of these - mainly for ferraris he was saying, as theres a couple of local garages specialising in italian supercars and the like and apparently theyre always up against it with discontinued parts.

Onto the next problem, floppy sun visor :)

Thanks again
Simon
