Finally seem to of got to the bottom of my hazard lights intermittent problem, looks like the above relay. Does anyone know if they are shared with another car? £100 seems a bit steep if I can get it elsewhere.

Thanks

Good to hear Brendan, maybe best bet is to try local Alfa/FIAT MD and see if they recognise it

Relays usually have a maker printed on the top as well. If not, then as Frank says. I would have thought it is a fairly common FIAT component.

That diagram is useless to me :(

Unless someone else can interpret it, or get their relay out I think it's either:
1) Get a second hand one from David Askew
2) Ask an Indy if there's a known alternative
3) Remove it yourself and take it down to a motor factor / post a picutre
4) Get the garage to remove it again then as item 3
5) By a new one, and photograph that.
6) Something else.

Sorry :(

Thanks for this. The garage said it was quite odd that the hazards work and other times they don't as usually relays either work or do not. He tried the relay from another 4200 and it seemed ok. I will try and get a secondhand one depending on cost. Unfortunately the garage just said it was located behind the dash and quite fiddly to put in.

F1 relay is £80 ish isn't it, for the OEM.

Brendan, if I get a chance over the weekend I'll stick my head under the dash, but I have some serious driving to do, and Sunday lunch to prepare for :D

The only worry is, its unique to Maserati...then we are stuffed.....fingers Xed...........someone should survey or remove the relays in the Maser and take them along to someone in trade and try match up 4/6/12 of them....if possible

I really can't believe that it'll be unique. Even if it *is* I'm 100% certain that modification to a standard or an electronic replacement is possible. I've said it before (although about the F1 pump relay) "It's only a switch" :)

I am in no rush to buy one, as asoon as I do a cheap one will turn up! Had a look through my manual and cannot find where it is located.

Managed to find the relay and here it is. Maserati have stopped making them but the part is shared with other manufacturers like Ferrari and Alfa Romeo p/n 46466571. :numberone:
