Very sad day.....i sold the car

After 6 years of smiles, it went overnight, no time to say goodbye......
I remember it like yesterday when i brought her home from Surrey, everyone looking at me etc.....6 years flew by and so did my life, went from single to married, mortgage and baby.

It wasnt officially for sale so when the new owner emailed me i was still in two minds but thought i have nothing to loose, as we spoke, i liked him and knew it was going to a good home and that was that.

I hope im in a maserati soon......already feel alone and bored and its been 40 mins.....

I must say a big thank you to the new owner who will be along soon to introduce himself, hes a gent, never played around, got the cash to me when he said and went out of his way to make sure i as happy. Hes a real petrolhead, his dad has a merak and his friend had a QP.

A sunny day in March 6 years ago, driving on the M25 loving the feeling of having a maserati at 28 and now.......off he drove, to begin a new chapter for him and for me

All i have to do now is let the dvla know about my plates and thats it.....

Sad day yes but you had your time with her, on to the next plus in 2 days time you spend 6 days in a GS with 30 other petrol heads.

A sad day indeed Dem but 6 great years with a great, great car in the best colour too!
Your enthusiasm for your car on this forum went a long way towards convincing me that the the AC was the car to go for so for that, I thank you.
Good luck with your future car endeavours and of course enjoy Le Mans you lucky man!

Wow! Blimey, I didn't see that one coming (considering how much you loved your Maser). But times change, as do circumstances and phases in life. It is sad to see a 'loved one' go, but at least you know it's gone to a good home :)

As for wife, mortgage, kids,... there will come a day when the kids have grown up / left home, and the mortgage is paid off, so there will be another opportunity to get one I'm sure.

Sad news, mate. Always better to have memories than dreams, though. You can always remember the happy times with the car and the friends you've made on here.

I also sold a car I've had for over 5 years today - my E30 convertible. Will hand her over when we get back from LM.

Hope you're back in a trident before too long.

Thanks guys....the plan is to be in something italian with a v6.....atleast for a year until business sorts its self out etc....

With work the way its going i mght be in a trident next year.....its booming

I needed the money for the family so i couldnt keep hold of a car i do less than 1k a year in....

Dont worry Dem, Matts GS has so many warning lights lit you will think you are back in your old AC! Get well soon and get another Maser. See you Thursday.

Will still be flying the flag for the 3200 crew!! No warning lights on sale, car for the last 4 years has been excellent, i recommend a contactless throttle pot for any 3200 owner
