Afternoon all.
I don't suppose anyone on here is an accountant with Ltd Company set up knowledge?
If so, can I pick your brain for a few mins please?
Thanks
I know someone who set me and two of my fellow newly freelance amigos up.

Another nod for an accountant. If your venture becomes successful you will have no time to waste doing these tasks. If you do then your business is not working efficiently.

They will also do tax planning and save you more than you spend with them.

SI spend £300 a month for all our needs, personal tax, CT, payroll, VAT, year end accounts etc….

He’s done all my accounts for 25 years for my various businesses and indeed this forum too is managed by him.

He’s in Liphook, Hampshire/Surrey boarder but I see him once every 3 years, the rest is done by email.

PM me if you would like his number, he would prob charge £300 to set up the company and the beauty is you use his registered work address and not your home address, believe me, that is a good thing in business if it goes wrong.

As @Ebenezer says, you can set up a simple Ltd Co online in five minutes for (I think) about £20. (MUCH easier than setting up the company bank account!) But if you have in mind a complex structure (for example with some voting shares and some silent shares) then you need advice early on.

But then a good accountant is definitely worth having for payroll, dividends, tax allowances, VAT etc. The rules change all the time.
