Likewise the vintage market has seen a cataclysmic drop in recent years, and your right it will eventually come our way without doubt ,
I think it maybe starting to creep up on us already, which would go some way towards explaining current price trends / difficulties in selling … It’s a result of the growth in “environmental awareness” and the changing public mindset towards hydrocarbon fuelled vehicles.

You could well be right. Car and Classic just successfully auctioned a nice-looking 2002 Spyder for £14,250.

2002 Spyder for auction.

With the (unjustified) bad rep Maseratis have for reliability people will be reluctant to spend a lot on something they’ve not give a run up the road. The market isn’t in the shape it was in 3 years ago, both these things keep auction prices down imho.
What is justified criticism at Maserati, a clutch for a 4200 is about £1400, similar vintage Porsche 996 911 clutch £280. Both these cars were similar price when new.

Totally different clutches mate the F1 clutch is Race technology of that era a lot more expensive to manufacture.
10 years ago I paid £1500 for the oil/water pump unit for my 04 4200 but again it's a trick set up for the dry sumped engine.
