See if you can see where it is coming from.

Check the oil level as although it's A4 sized, it may just be a small amount that has come from a loose hose or something.

Do GT's have to same power steering oil cooler issues as 4200's/GS's?

And it may look a lot worse than it as as the garage floor id polished tiles so a little spreads out a long way. I'll get the car out in a bit and have a good rummage underneath

Welcome along and congrats on your purchase. Lovely colour but i would say that. If the car was services prior to you collecting it hopefully the oil spill is just some that was spilt and has now found its way to the floor. It doesnt take much to give an A4 sized slick. Hopefully its something of nothing. Enjoy the car. Miles of smiles ahead for you.

To get that much on the floor it wont be rocker cover gaskets as most of that burns off on the headers.
Has the oil and filter been changed as I have had one where the old filter O ring was stuck on the block and a new filter put on top of it.
If the filter had been changed it could be old oil running off the subframe from the filter change but should never be sent out like that.

All it well in Blue GT world. There was a little oil and some water in a puddle which looked worse from looking under the car - once the car was out of the garage it was clear that I was doing a newbie panic about Italian reliability (feeling slightly guilty at rushing to the forum first before doing a proper chack, but I am sure most of you will forgive me this minor indiscretion, after all, you are seasoned pro's at this).

So this weekend saw a few miles put on the clock (faultless), followed by a whole day of intense detailing (Snow foam, Wash, clay bar, de-ionise, stage 1 polish, wheel deep clean and protection) and the final layer of wax goes on tonight.

One very happy Maserati owner.

little update

HI All,
So, 2 months and 2000 miles in, and all is perfect in GT world. Faultless and spirited drive cross country to Le Mans for the 24hr race and a few evening and weekend road trips have highlighted just how awesome this car is. Later this months sees front end PPF being applied before I take her to Monza for the GP.
