Before bidding read the Emblem inspection report....

Not for the feint-hearted but could be a cheap parts car or project... Too much of a headache for me....

Not for the sane if they’ve read that report. Why on earth would anyone buy that? It’s too dear to scrap, and it would cost an absolute fortune to put right, and will never be ‘right’.

A lot of us are on the PPI wagon as evidenced recently, but to be fair, I would guess that a majority of first time (2nd hand) Maserati buyers did so without PPI. I certainly fall in that category. In my case we don't really have much help with only 1 full dealership in this huge country about 1300km away and (luckily) a service point subsidiary about 50km away. And if you didn't have a bad experience the first time around and weren't on this learned forum, you'd probably do so again, little knowing that you probably got lucky the first time around. It's a bit like going to the casino and steadfastly putting your money on black - the run IS going to end. So for a second purchase I'd do my utmost to get a PPI, I'd certainly at a minimum check with the dealership about the service history and if the last service was very recent, the car runs well and it’s a car that might just be snapped up before I commit......I just maybe will go for it (again). Bear in mind the market here is a lot smaller and the cars are either obvious dogs or relatively well kept and then also garaged, with the climate ensuring rust not being an issue.
