If you don't have an issue with the £4k cost, then why would you not have it done?
Just change the F1 sensor through the hole in the bell housing and use it until the clutch is completely gone.It's that topic again...
When should a clutch be changed? i.e. what reading is cause for concern?
Mine's at ~40% and the garage is saying I should change it, as the bearing and position sensor are both knackered (car won't go into gear or start).
I'm not against changing it but £4k is not a trifling amount.
I know the readings aren't even that accurate but it was 5.9% at 39k and 40.2% at 61k. It's now at 65k and the recommendation is to change.
Thoughts?
Did anyone ever try this?Interestingly the QP Duo Select ran the same clutch as the 4200…it is a 4200 engine and box then it changed to the same clutch as in a GT MC Shift so by that measure the Gt clutch should fit a 4200
