Though you guys might be interested in the clutch tweaking on my 4200 CC. I had the clutch replaced about 2000 miles ago, though with no flywheel replacement as that had been done the last time. Since then it's taken a while to settle and I've been back to the dealer a couple of times for them to tweak the PIS setting. Symptoms were that I would get lots of clutch slip - particularly in slow moving traffic.
Last time I went in they adjusted it from 4.9 to 4.6 and it made it much better. However a few weeks later it was slipping again. This time we tried a different tack - moved the PIS point up a lot - and after some playing around between 5.3 and 5.5 we settled on 5.4. The theory is that while going down seemed originally to fix the issue, actually it's not pushing the clutch down early enough and so at slow speed the anti-stall kicks in and depresses the clutch anyway, hence the slip. Moving the PIS point right up to 5.4 seems to give me a nice smooth take off from stationary and so far (it was only done today) is working well.
I'm not overly mechanical so may have not quite explained correctly - however an interesting little lesson on how the clutch systems work on the CC I thought. Hopefully it'll resolve my clutch-slipping issues as it's a little frustrating when you're trying to drive smoothly (it's never been a problem when driving it very hard of course).
Cheers,
Ben.
