I've seen a couple of mentions of using the rotary lance on this thread. Be VERY careful if you do!
I'm pretty sure it is designed for removing loose paint and stubborn algae/moss etc from hard surfaces. There is a good chance if it catches the edge of paint or clear coat on a stone chip or similar, a bit of dirt will be the least of your worries.
