Like him or dislike him, he still has/had the best job in the woorrld.

Just because he isn't a lover of maserati's does that make him a bad person ???? ............... guess it does :)

if JC had shown some remorse I probably would be happy enough to see him back at some point since he can be quite entertaining but the blaise, higher than thou attitude he has adopted since this broke has really pee'd me off.................good ridance to him I hope!

It must have had about a dozen presenters since the 70s! It evolved into the Clarkson show. It will easily carry on with a different presenter, some people will like it some won't.

Yes
I am sure Kate Humble was a presenter once! When you think of her cv it covers a range
She is just someone looking for a vacancy to fill, all she needs is a vacancy
Any ideas anyone?

Radio 4 are at about 17:45 playing a recording of an incident where a man looses it when he cant get a stake at his hotel...wonder if this is the Clarkson Tape?

Love or hate him, he gets the viewers in and represents TopGear.

Personally, I love him but then again I love anyone who challenges the status-quo. One news commentator said " Of course people will dislike him, he was Nigel Farage before UKIP" this summed it up. He is original albeit sometimes inappropriate.

Love how David Cameron put a spanner in the works by showing support for Clarkson, clearly a stab at the BBC over the debates fiasco.

Hes an entertainer guys.......whose found a niche...well paid, who puts bums on seats.........what entrepreneur/producer wouldn't want him on their team warts, gob, regularly "controversial", insulting and severe attention seeking traits?

Clarkson doesn't seem like the kind of guy that could throw a decent punch. I would expect some kind of predictable, half-a***d hay maker.

It's stupid, the presenter involved did not report anything himself, it was Clarkson apparently the reported the row, now it's created this BBC investigation by a tortoise and a snail committee, chaired by Reggie Mole..!!

The more I think about it the more I believe Guy Martin would be the ideal person to replace him...

Loved the front page of private eye...

Clarkson in a open car under the banner of Comic Relief special edition - "I gave my producer a Red Nose"

Hate pork scratchings Newton.........

P

As may be Frank but he is quite a character and makes a good presenter; as a big old pair too, not afraid to take on a challenge. IT would make it a bit of a bike show as well as both Mat and the ferret ride bikes...

Guy comes over very well on tv, very engaging, but he doesn't really like doing it. There's no chance he'd front up a car tv show; he only did the other stuff because he was totally involved in making the content to put in them. Talking about a few cars wouldn't cut it... He's had a few really tasty motors though.

True.....but hes a very straightforward guy........lacking in the nuances found in TG...........at times.

As part of a trio, what role would he play?
