Hi guys
Thought I might chuck my opinion in here seeing as I have a few watches in my collection, including a couple of Christopher Ward ones....
I was following the development of the CW line when I read an early article about Mr.Ward and his reasoning behind developing his own line of watches so it's something I'm familiar with. Octane mag did a small review about 2 years ago on one of his watches and thought very highly of them so a bit of online research, YouTube videos from owners, watch site reviews etc convinced me to take the plunge...and I ended up doing it once for me, once for the Mrs and when my mate saw them (another watch aficionado) he bought one too....and I am on the hunt for my second one now!
The models we all have are brilliant generally but when you think of what you get for the money it really is astounding. Christopher Ward is at pains to point out (quite rightly too IMO) that he uses the same movements as much, much more expensive 'brand name' watches and the only difference between the 2 is really the lack of glossy outlets, huge advertising (although recently I've noticed full page stuff in Top Gear magazine) and not sponsoring movie stars!
I feel I can comment objectively about this as I have a collection of watches running into double figures - some of which are these big name brands and cost many times as much - and can compare these items directly and would not hesitate in buying another if the design took my fancy. As I say, I love my one and can only offer comment on the actual models we have but I would not hesitate (and have done several times in the past) to recommend these watches to anyone.....I have no affiliation in any shape or form to the brand but really enjoy the thought of having a beautifully-made watch on my wrist with the same 'heart' as a watch costing 10 times as much!!!!
Treat yourself guys - you won't regret it....
Gary
