CDC Disappeared?

Hi All

Was wondering if anyone had any clues on this one.

Just pulled my 4200 out of storage (First time since about november), been on trickle and had a service etc and an oil leak fixed so all seems well.

However, ive got a bluetooth loudlink system, and unless im being very stupid (Entirely possible) I cant select the 'CDC' function anymore. After a bit of fiddling I can see there is power to the loudlink as its very accessible (In armrest tray) and I have connected my iphone to it so the led has gone from green to blue.

But for the life of me I cannot make the head-unit select anything other than radio, its almost like it doesnt 'see' it ? Ive used the power reset in boot near battery but no joy with that, does anyone have any ideas? Would of course been better if maserati had just fitted a button that said 'CDC' or similar, but that would be too easy I guess. Its never been 100% perfect, but it generally worked ok to take calls and stream music up until now.

Ive also had engine management light come on within a mile of the storage place, but am guessing most likely unrelated problem? (Will try and get it plugged in and looked at soon)

I did about 2 or 300 miles last year due to the suspension disasters, was hoping to at least play about with it a bit for a few months till the summer when Ill be changing for something different. Always something with this car, its never straight forward(!)

Thanks
Simon

Hi
I have the Loudlink in my QP. I removed it once while the car was switched on and it didn't like it very much! Essentially when I plugged the loudlink back in it didn't recognize that I had a CDC (The Loudlink is the CDC as far as the car is concerned). So I removed loudlink and switched the car off, reconnected the loudlink and switched on again and all was well.
Hope this helps
Eb

You may need to put the boot file on the SD card in the Loudlink (folder 1) and flash it again, I have had to do this a few times as it seems to default quite easily.

Thanks for the advice. Ill check this all out. The cable into the back of the loudlink is fine, ive unplugged and checked its firm connection etc, I guess I may need to strip the centre rest down again though as I seem to recall I originally had to plug the cable into the back of the cd / nav unit possibly?

Out of interest if it was being seen how do i select CDC instead of radio please? Its only been 5 months or so but for the life of me I cant remember how I selected the loudlink instead of radio when switching between the two?

Thanks
Simon

Source button next to the volume and roll through the options.

Incidentally, try a battery reset with a 3+ minute wait it may see it again.

Thanks all, not sure what fixed it but a combination of unplugging a couple of times and before that another battery reset seems to have cured it.

Management light turned out to be maf sensor, ordered another one and looks very easy to fit so that's a result.

Thanks again
