Very tempting Andy. Their website also lists a GS which appears to be an import; it's showing 41,000 miles and is up for £21,995 but there's no mention of it's history.

Cat D is so minor doesn't need a Vic check seems good value to me and nice colour combo for Ford focus money.

Tricky one. would never touch a Cat D as you will not have much chance to sell on to another punter. as soon as the word Cat D shows up it does seem to be a what if?

Clive I'm an enthusiast who shouldn't be owning super cars but I do it the way I can afford. When I bought the 456 which was my first Ferrari all the experts in forum land said do not touch it as it came via hmrc ****** back auction. In my opinion these people have probably never owned one but have all the top trumps knowledge. You will always sell on to a true enthusiast. Just for fun had my car valued by we buy any car and my 4200 is worth 3600 pounds. I paid 10250 for it 3 years ago. If I put it up for 7000 it would fly out of the door with 106k on the clock. My Saturday morning ramble over back to looking for a 360 Modena a damaged one this week with parts to repair sold for 20 k before I had chance to call. Phil.

that's pretty good and all credit to you for doing it In some ways these are some of the reason we still see classic cars on the roads just wonder how long the government motor manufactures Insurance companies will let it carry on with all this H&S stuff good luck with the search 360 Modena is a beautiful car

Phil....you are the man who can.....most of us are put off by the mention of CAT Ds, but if like yourself, are hands on, able and don't scare easy, then more avenues of ownership open up...fair play to you

Indeed.......but...its the selling on which can prove more difficult.........then normal, when they are already hard to shift

Right guys Clive me too in my 50s and had my fair share of Fords in earlier years V6 Capris happy days. I don't think anybody should be put off because between us we have lots of knowledge and this forum is the best. My old 456 is at Walkersport Ferrari. He did say that he would not have bought it if I had serviced it and that wad nothing against my skill as he inspected the car in my workshop and the only time he drove the car was when he left. Never came out in it with me. Bought it on site and I have never done that.

Although I'd never normally touch a Cat D I might be convinced if the repair evidence stacked up, and the price was right; even where you have someone like Loz who knows what they're doing questions should be asked, and the problem is that you cannot always get the answers from sellers, sometimes simply because they didn't ask when they bought their cars. At £13k for a 2006 QP it is tempting to ask.

In a similar vein I recently enquired about a low mileage 3200 with 'full history' (not accident damaged). Low mileage yes, full history? Nope, it's had long periods of lay-up, and the price does not reflect a very tenuous history. I'm not surprised that the vendor can't shift it.

Agree Phil...A good 2006 QP is around 19/20k....So if the CATD gets through am inspection it could be worth a punt...
