Ahem! Sorry to interrupt your lazy Sunday afternoon friends for an announcement.
Leddeez aan - Dgendlemenn,
A few updates:-
1. Signing in on the forum.
For the benefit of any others who were hoping to sneak up the anchor chain of our good ship 'Commitment' at the last moment -- Good News!
I have spoken with the organisers and we can hold open the display list until 6pm on Sunday 20th October then that's it - CLOSED
2. Display vehicle owners –
It’s an early start I’m afraid. Public admission starts at 9am.
Please be quite ready by 8.45 at the latest if at all possible to minimise traffic in the paddock.
A reminder – Having made the effort to prep yor’n ‘Bella’ and drive to ‘Combe it’s a good idea to tell visitors to our display what a truly amazing car you own ! – if done verbally this can get a bit tedious after a while so why not provide the minimum of an A4 size information sheet inside the side window or windscreen. Make, model, engine size and performance etc. will blow their socks off and any trackday poses of macho man/woman and machine will enhance the impact. I know most of you already have one printed off and if we could encourage all to bring one along it will be useful for next year's events as well.
I’m going to try to persuade the organisers to give us blurb on the PA so if you have any interesting facts about your vehicle let me know and I will pass it on.
3. Gazebo ? What happens if it’s a bleaching hot day you enquire?
I believe that there is a SportsMaserati one in the forum somewhere (Matt?) and I am trying to arrange for the local AROC one to be present.
Please, let me know if you can help, I think two total would be sufficient.
4. Money Matters. Same as previous years I believe. i.e.
a. A minimum donation of five £UK to a very good cause - and a bit extra if we manage to locate a couple of gazebos.
Your bonus is a free gate day pass for your bella and all passengers therein but you will neeed to print it off online and display it at the circuit entrance gate to enter the paddock area
or:
b. If you decide to come to watch/give support to the exhibitors then Welcome friends.
Thanks for your support and I understand that there is a fiver per person entry fee with free parking outside the paddock area and that elderly parents are at a reduced rate.
5. Other matters.
a. Passes should be online soon. Will post up immediately I receive artwork.
b. Another reminder - that the arrival time is challenging as always but please plan to be on time as we need to be organised onsite before the public gates open.
If you are delayed, press on and you are still very welcome 'cos we appreciate that our cars sometimes get sulky and throw tantrums.
c. Only a few days left now so if you have any questions unanswered, either on the forum or in the organisers online blurb (link on Page1) now’s the time to ask.
I’ll post a final set of practical details regarding circuit entry, our parking area etc. early in the event week.
