No charge for our bins here in N I...we have black, brown and blue...italy a Different story!! Have 4 bins we have to pay for and then bags for them are barcoded so they scan what we throw out and charge accordingly or fine you for putting wrong stuff in!! Think they do stuff like that in italy when the government runs really low on funds!! Like the retrospective plannng permissions.... they tell everyone with illegal building works its fine they will get planning if they pay a small fine!!

Not strictly correct as we have just spent over a year getting it legal.

If it is illegal and they don't believe you will get planning or it is more than just a small alteration they can ask you to demolish it.

They do, they also expect you to get permission to demolish it, and also to dispose of the rubble. They like bureaucracy!
