Hi again fellas, did I mention when it rains it pours? More on that later.

When further investigating my driver side window issue (not working - faulty motor I believe), I took the door card off, started feeling around inside the door and found this lying in the bottom of the door. Any idea what it is and what it does? Any chance it's absence from somewhere might be contributing to my window issue? Gratitude in advance.

Also (here's the "when it rains it pours" part), a while ago I was looking into an intermittent "floppiness" in my clutch pedal (6mt). Every now and again there seemed way too much free travel and then it would firm up again. I didn't panic and it seemed a bit too hard to deal with. Well ... as of a few days ago, I've got almost no clutch pedal at all and the car is virtually undrivable as a result. I'm guessing it's the clutch pump/master cylinder but other suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks in advance folks,

Kim.

Re clutch, I had exactly the same symptoms on an Alfa. They changed the master cylinder, as this was the easiest, but it ended up being a faulty slave cylinder. The "bit"? Not sure but could hazard a guess at part of a lock? Not sure though.

Thanks Allan, I've spoken to my maser-man and he has suggested that I look underneath and if there is fluid dripping from the bell-housing I'm in trouble. I haven't looked yet but hope to tonight.

Re. the lock mechanism. No doubt you are all correct but I'm not having any trouble with the lock??? I'll have a feel in that direction this evening and see what I find.

Thanks to you all.

Kim.
