From the GS to a 1.4 Astra

The stereo was 22db louder than the exhaust! Still, it got me home without drama and all things Maserati are now restored. A man should always have a spare, IMO...

Back in the sunny north. A photo of Maf on the back straight with Adrians Aston Martin N430 following behind and nothing else behind them would look great until you pan out and realise Maf was being towed at the time. Photo shop or crop the tow truck out and it would be a great shot.

Im sure we all had fun today in aid of a good cause. Thanks to the organisers. Hopefully we will all be back again next year to do it all again.

So rev off was interesting , MAF took Gold and as Adam Crud had gone I took Silver ! There was only half a dB difference between out cars so he is Silver and I am Bronze!

Great day and was surprised by the GTS for an 1800kg+ car on the track. Once MSP was off it was so much more sorted and the Pirellis held up really well. Types are blistered but they will last a few more K. New discs next week so got a lot out of the current ones.

Record breaking year again...

Just got back - what a selection of fantastic cars! Many thanks to the owner of the gorgeous and 'slightly more than epic' dark blue QPV 'E4 ADG' who took me for a very rapid spin on the track this morning, we had a very short conversation but I picked up enough to know that I really do want (need) one of these machines in my life. Likewise many thanks to the owner of the other QPV (Drew..?) who gave me some great advice and encouragement.

Yep, that was me. Great to talk to you, and hope to see you buying a QP soon!

Now THAT was the dog's cobblers. A bloody good day indeed. It was great to see everyone for a day of tyre-shredding fun and frolics. Managed to get home by 6 and with an average mpg of 12.1 since I reset it late this morning.

8.5 mpg, including the drive to/from home!

Happy finish to the day - glad the trophies went down well :)

My track tyres are well and truly finished this year, so will need to sort another set. The MSP is playing up on my car too, and has been for ages on right hand bends. Brunty being a clockwise circuit this is a bit of a snag... Without the MSP it's a different animal.

Great meal with 10 of us to complete the day - superb food and cracking company. Really does finish the day nicely :)

Thanks to all who helped man the gate - it's a heck of a task, and the young people who helped Susie did a fantastic job. Hats off to them!

So, all I need to do tomorrow is swap the rims back to the normal set with nice new tyres on them, clean the windscreen, put some fuel in, and then I'm off driving to Geneva. What a car - ragged on the track, AndyK gave it some pain too, and hasn't missed a beat since it tried to stay at home this morning with no instruments, infact nothing on the dashboard at all. 25 minutes to fix it, and the rest of the day has been perfect.

Home and absolutely shattered...

Thanks for letting me take your car round Kenny, that colour is growing on me :jptongue:

Didn't matter I was only marshalling (or herding cats) today, I still got burned and had a great day helping to raise some cash for very good causes.

Hopefully converted some more people to this magnificent brand.

Sorry about the clutch Mark.

Holy ****. That was an utterly top day! Totally knackered and realising that I missed the open neck of my shirt when putting on sun block!

New brakes needed on the GT, and the geometry, but other than that I really love that car. As ever the number of positive comments. Even had some lads stop at the lights in Harlow and tell my I had a 'epic' car :)

So good to see the gang as well, and dinner just rounded it off.

Roll on next year!

I'm sorry I missed dinner but for those that know it was worth ducking out as the news from the old country is good.

Another fantastic day with excellent company - the system gets better every year.

Roll on 2017

All, a big thanks once again from me.... As always I am humbled ...... great cars, great people and a great day...Thank you........

We had lots of help on the gate this year so thanks to all who chipped in through the day as it made a load of difference. Susie as always did a stunning job alone with Mr Contigo.....You all have my thanks.......

What I noticed this year was more smiling faces getting out ot the car than we have ever had........no matter what car they were in as well.......

Adam, Adrian and Phil mate where in demand so much so I stopped Susie selling tickets......Suppose it was no surprise the the Ferrari Aston and Atom were mega popular.

As always thanks to Drew for allowing me drive his lovely QP and spkennyuk for driving his very fast 4200....Always forget how good the 4200 is.

So your hard work raised £2800......great result all.

Thanks to all for a fantastic day and glad that we raised 2.8k for good causes! The work involved to set this up before hand, and then manage it all on the day is truly remarkable - Drew, Suzie, Chris, AndyK top job! Apologies if I missed someone!

Great day and feeling it now! Punters loved all the rides and just putting smiles on people's faces make it worthwhile!

Just for reference the GTR lot did £4k so our £2800 is Mega!

What a top day with top people , this was my 1st track day in anger and after the sighting lap with maf ( cheers mate) I thought my driving skills may not be good anough but how wrong was I ! I think I did my self proud along with everyone else !!! I have a new respect for my 14 year old barge it behaved impeccable all day and certainly didn't look out of place against more newer machines , it handle very well though the twister bits , may lack a bit of out right speed though but my best at the end of the straight was 145 for the day with very very late braking ! The smiles on the kids faces may my day and the screaming ladies . What a day what a event what a great buch of people , thank you to Andy ,Drew and one and all , put me down for next year iam defently will be there .

Ooops Andy, got them a tad warm there! Well done all for keeping it going yesterday, got tough finding cars still able towards the end, let alone drivers.
