Farringdon is only a few stops away on the tube - I work in town although sadly not always dressed appropriately for an afternoon beer (I manage a building site)
But with a bit of planning I think I need to try out this Tavern ASAP

I think you should. It's not exactly posh, although there are quite a few suits there. I doubt anyone would turn a hair if you turned up in building kit.
