Brake Pad wear sensor

Upon stripping the 4200, it seems there is nothing on the end of the brake pad wear sensor other than bare wires. Explains why the warning light was on.

Does anyone know if I can simply join the bare wires to put the light out or will I need a resistor to not upset the CanBus? This is only a temporary fix until Eurospares get new stock

I just ordered a new sensor from Ricambi. Same as Eurospares, quite cheap: 18 USD if I remember well. Just make sure you get one only, for some reason the websites put 2 in your carts, you only need one.
That's a more permanent fix ;)

yes, not sure why eurospares sells 2 when you need one. But if you speak to them they will sell one only.

When I changed my discs Giallo (my independent) asked for a new sensor. I bought it since cheap but usually you can reuse the old one no problem

Mine was gone but my pads were also in quite a bad shape... I have never ever seen pads in such a bad shape to tell the truth. They fell apart while uninstalling them, I guess that's why my sensor was gone too.
