Hi!

I bought my '05 QP, with 42k on the clock, last week - though sadly I have to wait for delivery as it's going back to Maserati to fix/replace the dash console screen, then it's getting the RAC check, service, MOT and any other fixes that may come out of that report.

So, now I play the waiting game... when all I want to do is drive the car out in the countryside!

Thank you!

Hoping it comes before the end of the month as I'm planning to take a ferry trip to Jersey and would love to have the QP with me on the island.

MrK
Welcome,
I too have a QP
Wonderful machines.
Glad you are getting the checks done
Over the coming weeks tell us more about it - colour, niggles etc
I have a couple of points one I will share with you now
They provide a handbook and recommend you keep it in the car for such procedures as releasing the electric handbrake in an emergency. All good stuff but there is nowhere convenient to keep it!!
So mine is in the boot in the spare wheel well that they also do not provide!!!! - Italians
Once you have the bug ........................

Congrats, I have a 05 QP also, love it to bits...but hopefully not too many!

Electric handbrake in a 05? Any handbrake would do!

The Handbook does not fit in the glove compartment, the front middle arm rest, the rear arm rest, the door duckets, the storage compartment in the boot above the battery
So
In the spare wheel well it goes
Which reminds me I must give it (the book) some protection.

That's a bit mad, even my 98 Jag had a slot in the top of the glovebox for the handbook..!! Maybe under the seat, are there no seat back pockets either..??

Picnic Tables (I suppose nowadays Laptop Tables) are on the back of the front seats and nothing else!
Under the front seat may be an option I will go now and double check

Picnic tables on mine too :) Nothing under the seats in mine though.
Do you have an Executive, Dave?

Post up a photo of the handbook - it can't be the same as mine if it won't fit in the glove compartment.

Yes it is the Executive GT
I have found a flimsy ducket below the Picnic Tables but it looks too small and frail, I will try it and report back

The hand book measures 8 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches and it does not fit in the ducket below the Picnic Tables
Under the front seat is not too good either!

Got shouted at for going unsupervised to the garages to take the photo :(

Apparently I'm not to go outside without my "nanny". If those are the rules, I'm working on suggesting the uniform...

Well here's a pretty thing
went to the glove compartment,
removed the diagnostic meter I recently purchased
removed a cardboard parking disc
removed a small pack of baby wipes (perfect for cleaning the inside dust that builds up with static)
removed a piece of cloth similar to the one for cleaning glasses (not my cloth btw)
and there was a metal table knife and fork presumably for the Picnic Tables
Heavens knows how long that has been there - since before I bought the car!
So replaced all (including the Handbook) back in the glove box apart from the diagnostic which has gone in the ducket below the Picnic Tables
Thank you very much for the solution and I take back nearly everything I said about the Italians!
My second niggle is for another day
cheers mate
