A much enjoyed day , with out a doubt , started with Jenson winning a more exciting grand prix, followed by the mandatory car cleaning of the GS and the Merc, , all finished by 1pm, ready for a jolly down to the Navigator and a afternoon whiling away watching the canal boats , perfect. guess most were out today probably making the most of it

Just a quick ask, always found wheel cleaning a pain in the ***, 4200 more so than GS wheels , whats the general consensus for best and easiest results , once a month in the summer i generally take all 4 off at once and do the insides aswell how sad is that

regards loz

Bilberry wheel cleaner is very good. Spray on, agitate with a small sponge, wait 5 minutes and rinse off using a pressure washer. Sealing your wheels is also a good idea to stop them attracting dirt and it also makes them much easier to clean.

I would second that...
My detailer uses it, Say's it is non acidic so not as harsh as some of the other wheel cleaners out there,

Its full name is ValetPro Bilberry wheel cleaner. It is an alkaline wheel cleaner and should be diluted with several parts of water to 1 part of Bilberry. I use a mix ratio of 3:1 (water:Bilberry). I also use a spray bottle with a foaming spray head to dispense the cleaner onto the wheels but this isn't necessary. Any spray bottle will be fine. The procedure is to use a pressure washer on the wheels to remove loose dirt, spray Bilberry onto one wheel, agitate with a brush/sponge, leave to dwell for 5 minutes and rinse off. The agitation bit is the key to get the best from this product. The product should lather up nicely with a strong, clinging lather. It is this that removes the grime from the clearcoat on the wheels.

To save a bit of time, towards the end of the 5 minute dwell time, I prep the next wheel (use the pressure washer, spray Bilberry onto it and agitate).
