Hi guys, I'm doing the Beaujolais Run again this year - 4th time. Its a great event raising money for a worthwhile cause.

Is anyone else doing the event?

Only the Engliah could be convinced to buy young wine from this area! The French laugh at us for drinking the wine they will not touch until its at least three years old.

Well, its for charity, and as for drinking it, you can keep the good stuff and on the night, drink the local stuff for free - great atmosphere and some fun times. Get to drive on Dijon race circuit and 2 laps of the GP Brandshatch circuit at the start. Plus some quality entertainment by Tattinger and Louis Latour

I understand you can keep it in the cellar for later...so why the rush to get it back to the UK...and its not like anyone will beat the record set by the RAF in the Harrier jump jet.

Still its a nice way to spend a weekend

There's no rush back, just a black tie event with the Tattinger family on the Thursday evening in Reims , then the chunnel prior to the weekend. Should be good fun

sounds like fun - what is the cost for this?

quick google search turned up someone saying it costs £10 to find out details for entring which then has £2,500 min sponsor and £500 entrance fee

The gumball is alot more I know but is this right ?

£990 for 2 people which covers chunnel, 3 nights hotel, meals for Wednesday & Thursday - so exceptional value and a tour of the champagne cellars at Tattinger in Reims. You must pledge a minimum of £1964 for the charity to be paid by Jan 31st.

Its exceptional value, it really is
