Battery issue with a difference - any thoughts please?

I use the isolator switch (thanks Matt it's excellent now) when I know the car will be tucked up in his stable for over a week but waking everything up once the switch is turned off is proving a challenge. The alarm requires setting several times and when that fails (as it did yesterday) we have to go for a battery re-set. Any one got any ideas on what's happening - although I've got a c-tek I'm a bit reluctant to use it as remembering to regularly connect and then disconnect it (as I've been told leaving it on all the time can harm the battery) could be a challenge.

Leave it on C-TEK all the time when not in use. It does not fry or cook the battery. My 911 Turbo and the GS are on Ctek for 6 months at a time laid up over winter.

The 911 for 10 years, the GS for 6 years.
They wake up each March/April after sleeping since September/October with no issues whatsoever

I also leave my car on the C-TEK charger 24-7 when not in use with no issues at all. They are designed specifically for continuous connection. A regular charger which does not regulate the charging will cook the battery so don't use a basic charger continuously.

Reality is even if a ctech or similar does eventually dry the battery it will take a few years and they are a low cost item and come with 3-5 year warranty.

In your situation I would be leaving it on charge.

Mine tends to be on and off charge, but mainly because I use the same charge across four cars !

Or as was suggested previously, keep it connected to a C-tek permanently but use a timer switch between the C-tek and the mains so that the conditioner is no switched on all of the time

Not so easy with some cteks, as you may need to select the mode, car, bike, etc. when switched on.

Thanks for the tips all - will give them another try - and it's a fairly new battery so if they fail there is the guarantee ;)
