Battery dead in a year!

Not kept on trickle charger, as could leave car for weeks and would start fine, battery disconnected during winter when off the road, and all would be fine come spring, will see if Tayna's warranty is worth the paper its written on.
Tayna replaced a battery I had in my old Alfetta. They also told me a useful tip, trickle charge through another battery that is not dead and after a few days both are good. I do this a lot as we have several old cars. The trickle charger may be the way to go though.

Everyone's comments about the battery may be right, but the "new radio" comment in the first post would have me take a good look there. Not enough information to offer any suggestions, but the simple way is to check the parasitic load.
